Connecting U.S. communities with humanitarian service in Haiti
Since 1994, HAITI, INC. has turned generosity and expertise into practical support for families in Haiti and for the communities we serve across the United States.

30 years of building hope in Haiti
Our story is written in communities transformed, lives rebuilt, and dreams realized.
Surpris Cherazard
HAITI, INC. is more than an organization Surpris Cherazard helped establish. It is the expression of a lifetime devoted to connecting people, resources, and compassion with communities that can use them to build a stronger future.
Born and raised in Haiti, building a bridge between U.S. communities and Haitian families
Schools, homes, hospitals, clean water, and free medical and dental care
Rotarian, Living Waters for the World partner, and Restoration Global Ministry leader

Surpris Cherazard is the vision, guiding mind, and heartbeat behind HAITI, INC. Born and raised in Haiti, he carried a deep commitment to his homeland with him as he built a life in the United States. He founded HAITI, INC. to create a trusted bridge between people who want to serve and communities in Haiti and the United States working toward stronger futures.
His humanitarian work has always been practical and broad. Surpris has helped advance projects that built schools, homes, hospitals, and clean-water sources. He has supported orphanages with clothing and other personal necessities and worked with doctors and dentists who traveled to provide free medical and dental care. He has also supported water and energy initiatives that strengthen health, safety, and everyday community life.
Education remains central to his vision, but it is one part of a larger commitment. Surpris understands that learning, health, clean water, energy, safe housing, and stable communities are interconnected. That understanding continues to shape HAITI, INC.'s work in Haiti and its service to communities across the United States.
Surpris brings extensive professional and civic experience to this mission. He earned bachelor's degrees in Linguistics and Finance and a master's degree in Economics, speaks seven languages, and has more than 40 years of experience in insurance and financial services. His service has also included leadership with Restoration Global Ministry, Living Waters for the World, and Rotary International.
Under his leadership, HAITI, INC. gives donors, volunteers, professionals, and community partners a meaningful way to put their generosity and expertise to work. His goal is to build relationships and support projects capable of creating lasting change, not simply to respond to immediate needs.
Education, health, water, energy, housing, and community stability are connected. When compassionate people work together, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
